Blackwater Dice Hud and
Combat rules
Dice combat is a turn based style of combat, where stats and rolls determine the outcome of each action and reaction, it can be considered significantly more complicated then other combats.
We do offer WWM style combat also on sim for those who prefer to stick with that.
Please note the Blackwater Dice HUD is currently in BETA.
If you encounter any errors or issues please contact Isabelle Chattoway to have it fixed.
Setting Up the Blackwater Dice HUD.
When you first wear the HUD, it will attach to the top left of your screen as shown below.
On the upper right a blue drop down menu will appear promoting you to select a Class, Shadow Hunters is not an available class you must apply to admins for this role.
Once you select your role, you will become a Tier One to that particular Role and will need to contact an Admin should you feel this is meant to be higher.
Your Hud will change to reflect this,
(may need to detach and reattach to show this)
Each Class will have access to different types of abilities depending on their type.
To find out what each ability does please check the relevant page on the website.
Example of a Witches HUD vs a Vampires HUD.
The Dice HUD has been broken down into parts.
CONSUMABLES
If you have purchased these in roleplay you can use a consumable within your post.
It is always considered polite etiquette to do this in your first post.
Consumables only last per roll, soon as you hit the roll button of either type it is used.
SPELLS.
Witches would post the use of there spell in their first returning post, much like a consumable, the type of spell would depend on weather you are defending or attacking.
Spells only last per roll, soon as you hit the roll button of either type it is used.
Any spell casting stamina used will reset at 4pm SLT daily.
ATTACK ROLL
When you have completed your first posts you would "attack" by posting such in local, and then clicking this button, it will automatically place your points together and give you the final roll.
DEFENSE ROLL.
If you are defending once the attacker has rolled you can post your defense action and click this button.
The rules of dice are simple, the higher the number wins the roll.
General Dice Combat Rules
Combat Ratio is 1:1 with a max of 4 players in one scene as not to confuse. When one player is knocked out another can not join.
1: The Aggressor chooses the form of combat, weather it be dice or WWM, if choosing WWM the player must make it clear by a small OOC note at the end of their first emote (WWM), All WWM combat still takes three posts before shooting.
2: All rolls are final there is never a need for a "re do" roll.
3: It is a turn based roleplay, when you do your action you roll afterwards.
4: Do not white knight without permission.
- White knighting is where you jump in and defend a player thus taking over their roleplay.
5: Fleeing Dice Combat
-Write a post that you’re disengaging from the fight, and roll a defense roll. If anyone succeeds in a rolling a higher attack roll against you, your flee attempt doesn’t work, and you will need to reattempt to flee.
6: All attacks and defends must be posted as attempts, nothing is guaranteed unless you win the roll!
7: COMBAT IS LOCKED!!!
- Once the first post (aggressive) has been rolled on the hud, no one outside of the present roleplay is allowed to enter the fight.
*** Exceptions to this is if a player calls for help from someone, however they must post one responding post in before attempting to join and become third in the posting order***
Winning in Dice Combat.
1: Dice Combat is won when a player lands three winning (ATTACK) hits in a row.
* If they have won two but lose the third then it starts over.
((This is decided if the attack roll is higher then the defense roll done by the other player))
2: If a player rolls above a 40 it is considered a critical hit and an automatic win.
3: When combat is over the losing player must roleplay the loss and apply any bindings or anything that the winning player posts.
